June 11, 2007: Added several new documents to the Historic Documents section: Act to Incorporate Hamilton College (1st Session, 4th Parliament, 16 Victoria, 1853) Received and read for the first time Tuesday, April 19, 1853. Second reading Friday April 22, 1853; Bill: an act to consolidate the debt of the city of Hamilton Recieved and read, first time, Monday, 7th September, 1863. Second reading, Wednesday, 9th September, 1863. Isaac Buchanan is mentioned as a Trustee on p.5, and Pen and Pencil Sketches of Wentworth Landmarks : A series of articles descriptive of quaint places and interesting localities in the surrounding county. Printed in 1897 by Hamilton Spectator Printing Co, Mrs. Dick-Lauder (Author).
June 8, 2007: Added section about Isaac Buchanan and the Great Western Railway Disaster of 1857 . Buchanan was reported among the dead in the earliest reports.
June 7, 2007: Added link to the Glasgow-based The Buchanan Society in the links section. Isaac himself became a member in 1838.
June 6, 2007: Added Isaac Buchanan's October 1883 obituary to the About the Honourable Isaac Buchanan page. Many thanks to the staff at the Hamilton Public Library, Special Collections, for providing the scrapbook containing 1883 obituary information.
June 5, 2007: added Globe and Mail Ad for Isaac Buchanan and Co's Spring Shipments of Dry Goods (April 1844) , Globe and Mail Ad for Isaac Buchanan and Co's Fall and Winter Goods (August 1844), and Ship's Manifests for goods imported by Isaac Buchanan and Co (September 1845), all to the Historic Documents section.

-Scanned two more Buchanan documents- Letters illustrative of the present position of politics in Canada, written on the occasion of the political convention, which met at Toronto, on 9th Nov., 1859 and No Confederation possible without a Confederate Patriotic Policy. Both have been added to the Historic Documents section.
-Our webmaster will be in Ottawa June 1-4, researching Isaac Buchanan at the National Archives of Canada.
May 28, 2007- Added new photos section, and included pictures of the Buchanan gravesite, provided by Robin McKee
May 25, 2007- Mr. Ecklund is being interviewed by local media at the Auchmar estate.
May 24, 2007- Mr. Ecklund met with Brian Wood, well known media personality of CHCH TV, this morning and told him of his endeavours.
Mr. Ecklund had coffee with former Mayor and good friend Larry DiIanni and told him of the website and efforts to date.

May 23, 2007- converted two of Isaac Buchanan's documents -To the Shareholders in Great Britain of the Great Western Railway of Canada and Our Battalion Organization Should not Be As Volunteers But As A Militia Active Force into downloadable pdfs and added them to the Bibliography page.
May 22, 2007- added a Bibliography page, as well as a section that explains the origins and intentions of this site.
